A planning application has been submitted to South Somerset DC to make substantial changes to the Red Lion. In summary it is proposed to build three houses over the pub car park, turn the B&B building into a private residence and to build another house behind this where the den and marquee lie. The pub car park would be relocated to the left of the pub using a new entrance leading into the kitchen garden and the end of the beer garden where the slide sits. A Parish Council meeting will be convened to discuss this (date and time to be advised) and you are welcome to make your views known directly to South Somerset DC via the online planning application.
